I had a trip to Western WA with my wife to visit the in-laws, and had 3 half days to detect. I chose Tacoma, even though that large city has been hammered for decades, including years of hunting by my detecting friends from the Seattle area.
I headed out last Friday and got into an area of homes that dated 1910s all the way back to 1890, according to one homeowner. I got the OK at 4 homes that were all near one corner, with decent front yards. This first day out proved to be the best, I ended up with a 1900-S Barber Dime, 3 Silver Rosies, a 1928-S Buffalo Nickel, 1902 Indian Head Cent, a child's thimble, a WW2 coin spill that had a 1940 French aluminum coin and a 1944 British Large Cent. I did get a lot of copper Memorial Cents as I sometimes find a worn silver that rings up the same on my AT Pro. I ended up with about 10 wheat cents and a fair amount of clad.
Saturday morning gave me another opportunity to try again, and it was an OK day. I got the permission at another 4 yards, these homes dated 1910s-20s. Best finds were a 1945-D Merc Dime, a 1948-D Silver Rosie, a few wheat cents, and more copper cents and clad. The curb strips were strip mined, very few coins, just as it had been the day before.
Sunday afternoon came along and I headed to a different area in Tacoma. Started in on a curb strip and my 2nd coin was a 1966 Canadian 80% Silver Dime. Good start. I got 4 permissions in a row on one side of the street, 1920s-40s homes in this area. I added a 1944-S Merc Dime and a Sterling Silver ring. A couple of neat finds were a copper fancy deco bracelet, and a Seattle Municipal Lines transit token.
Totals for the 3 half days were 8 Silver coins, 1 Sterling, 28 Wheat Cents, 5 Nickels, 29 clad dimes, 12 clad quarters, and 123 copper Memorial cents. Pictures follow, not shown are the copper cents, thank you for your interest!

Well done on all accounts!
