When back this afternoon to my new site. This was the third time here. The signals are far and few between now, but I was able to do pretty good. I found a kg 2 and what I think is a counter fit kg? Three large cents, a half cent 1809, two buttons and memorial cent.

I know Tom, poor east coast guy has to dig a memorial. I thru it in there just to show not every hole is a copper, but at this site it’s all most every hole.😜

Counting a farthing and three half cents I’ve found 19 coppers and a half reale.
I’ve had my eye on this property for awhile but not this field. I was hoping for a small civil war camp maybe? When I got to this site I dug my first hole and got a copper I was thinking this could be a good day. Well it sure was and than some! This winter I’m going back to this property and check the other fields. Who knows maybe there a mother home site there? It’s been fun!

...........Three large cents, a half cent 1809,..........

Wait, are you saying you found those 4 coins ^ ^ ON A SINGLE HUNT ? AAGGGgghhhh The average CA guy will go his entire career here to get up to 3 or 4 LC's (and never mind the hope of finding a half-cent here). Meanwhile we can get S mint silver with ease, occasional reales, and even gold coins. But the colonial coppers and LC's are as rare as unicorns. Uugghh

That place is a field of dreams, what a honey hole! Nothing but OLD! Well done and good luck with that permission!

This is my third post from this site. As far as old. It’s not far from the road so there is a good bit of alum cans and can slaw. I did find a memorial, so not all of it’s old just 95% is old. Believe it or not I think the main part of the site is on the neighbor property. The problem with that is it’s a newer home and a ton of fill dirt covering everything.

There’s a small part of the field that I couldn’t swing in. I’m thinking about asking if I can mow it this weekend and try again.

Your general location is SO prime for great finds, think of history and Maryland is ground 1. You're doing so well, lot's of copper which means silver is going to show up soon. Good for you and I'm watching, waiting for some more. Good for you!
