It's been a rough start to 2026, not a lot of gold plus getting retrenched isn't a great combo.
But today just felt different, lovely calm clear water and once I got in the water I could see the bottom looked different with layers I hadn't seen before. I went hard digging all the faintest signals and snagged the big 18ct ring in the first hour, then it was another ring every 30 minutes before the waves and cold chased me out.
I even got a super rare 15ct ring with the .625 stamp. Lots of gold there, 18ct to 9ct. very pleased.

Cheers. I just checked the hallmark on the ring with the bloodstone - it was assayed in Birmingham in 1884

You don’t need a beach to find loads of gold rings. Freshwater swimming spots produce.

I went out to the same spot today and picked up a huge 12.5g 9k ring and a Cartier love ring. I was initially suspicious because those are faked all the time and it was white gold which means stainless or tungsten usually. But when I got it out of the water it felt heavy so I still suspected tungsten. But on testing on a touch stone it leaves material which tungsten won't and it survives 18k acid. So it's legit
