Pics are from hunts over the past weekend, made a few more saves out of the Goldilocks Zone. Coolest find was the Tootsie Toy tractor trailer. Got a trio of Philly Merc's, multiple wheats and my first gold item in who knows how long. Eyeballed it too! Was on the surface at the water line of a pond behind an old school. Labled - Morrison 14k #8. Seems legit from what I see online. Likely the pen itself was gold filled but the tip seems like the real deal.

Hope everyones out and digging

Well done. I didn't know those fountain pin tips were made from gold. Or maybe that was just the high end ones. And you can't beat the good old random Tootsie toy. Congrats on the Mercs as well.:waytogo:

Ya I’m not to sure either. I think it’s gold though. Very thin, and since I found it below the high water mark I’d assume there would be corrosion if it was plated or filled.
