Scratch One Off The Bucket List, part 2

I returned to site where I found the breast plate and all those bullets. Last time I found 39 billets and this time I pulled 23, along with a lot of camp lead, a few rivets, and some modern clad. Today I finally found a button - not a Yankee but a Confederate block “I”... and ANOTHER breast plate! The button was found in the middle of an old road bed (in the middle of all the other stuff) and the breast plate about 75 feet from where the first one was found. Still no Yankee buttons! I added pics before and after cleaning. Also added the other plate - both are in excellent shape front and back! Enjoy!

Congrats, and I’m sure the yankee buttons are there considering the items you are finding. So keep at it your doing great. Better yet maybe a few more block Iinfantry buttons. I love digging those southern items.

Those are great finds. That place is one killer spot. I would be picking my jaw off the ground if I found one plate. And you have found two there. Congratulations.

Thanks, ya'll. I still hunt there every so often. I'll post all the finds tonight if I have time. To date, I am well over 100 drops (mostly Williams Cleaners, but quite a few 3 ringers and some Enfields) and one yankee button to go with the previous items. Hopefully I can get back out there soon.
