Good recovery! This is the kind of item that would look nice displayed in a shadow box along with other favorite finds. :yes:

Sweet! Did it come out of the ground that clean? I hear silver and gold stay shiny.
Yep, silver & gold come out looking pretty good usually. The only gold I've found is just a plated ring, but even that came out relatively shiny and not oxidized/corroded.

Metals like copper & nickel usually will tarnish quite a bit though, and modern zinc pennies (1982-current) pretty much start disintigrating into the ground when burried.

well done and yes, by all means do some sort of display of your favorite finds.
 
Doesn't compare to your ring, but it's the best I can do! Lol
Wheats are always fun to find! My first wheat was my favorite find for a few years until I found a silver coin. :yes: Still always like digging a wheat. They're also a good indicator of the time period coins were dropped in an area.
