blauh blauh blauh did a lot of searching found really nothing found one guy out of NJ that had arriving today Golddigger.com then told me they were gone even though they were supposably arriving today I called BS on that one .

Honestly, I think we'd see a lot more being shipped if there were not so many people willing to pay for something they might not see for months. I guess if you've got the money to spend then why not. Delay is why not. I just dislike people like that on eBay, you pay for something and they take their sweet time shipping because they got your money.

There’s a guy on the Finds Forum just got his so folks that pre ordered them will probably start getting them soon.

I don't regret buying my Equinox 900 in December. I bought what I wanted when I wanted it. However, had the X Terra Pro been available then I might have just bought two and called it a day. Whether or not you think single frequency detectors are obsolete or not the X Terra Pro is is going to be a game changer.

Elrodcod there is no reason to regret buying a 900. It's one of the best detectors you can buy, and will serve you way better than any single frequency will probably 90% of the time.

I'm kind of amazed this X Terra Pro is making any waves at all. It must be a bargain for either a backup detector or maybe for use in a certain circumstance where a single frequency might be the best option. The thing is it's very rare that a single frequency is the best option. I started with my serious detecting with a Nokta Impact. I will never swing a single frequency detector again if I can help it.

Good marketing by Minelab. Make it waterproof and look like a Nox. But truth be told multi-frequency outperforms single frequency 99% of the time. I hope everyone that gets one enjoys them :waytogo:

I didn’t say I regretted buying it. And yes, I bought the X Terra Pro as a back up for the Nox and as a loaner for friends and relatives that may want to give detecting a try. By all accounts the Pro punches well above it’s price.

I think we need some better identification of SMF vs MF. Yes, having the ability to switch to the frequency that best targets what you're looking for will outperform a detector that has just one frequency, most of the time, but using a single frequency will outperform using multiple frequencies at the same time, SMF.

SMF does not outperform single frequency. MF outperforms a single-frequency machine because it gives the ability to pick the best SINGLE frequency to do the job.

I am really liking what I see on the X-Terra Pro. I'm thinking there is one in my future.

Well, I'm having second thoughts now that I get looking into the X-Terra Pro a bit closer. I thought it had the full range of "switchable" frequencies, but it just has 5 kHz, 10 kHz, and 15 kHz. All lower high conductive frequencies. Wouldn't gain me much in my tot lots over my Simplex+.

I received mine today.
I just DL the manual. I thought it was well done. Should help everyone to get started.
Wow! Nice detector for the money.
It feels lighter than the Equinox. Especially with the adjustable handle.
Seems very well made and noticed the Elliptical Coil is really lightweight.

I think it's amusing on Minelab's website, in the metal detector drop down menu, that the XT is placed above the Manticore, the Equinoxes and even the Vanquish, all having multi-IQ tech, giving the illusion that it's better than those and only just under the CTX and Excal.
