Rare AZ token found , half dime, buckle, etc....

Wow! I’ll assume some great research ended at this site. Congrats on the research and amazing finds!

Went on a road trip with a hunting buddy last weekend. We each got some keepers. I got this token that ... as it turns out, is quite rare. According to the AZ token book "1 to 2 known" on the rarity scale. I guess that's changed to : "1 to 3 known" now, haha. And as you can see from this page out of the AZ token book, it's worth $900, as of the date of that book. Not bad :)

Also from the same site, this maverick token came up. That Simply has "E. B. 50 in MDSE" As if hand-stamped. And nothing on the reverse. Ordinarily a maverick token like this wouldn't be worth anything, yet : We noticed it had the same initials as the proprietor on the other one. HHhhhmmm

And this 1864 s half dime. This came out grey-ish dinge. But with some spit & tinfoil, and some Ezest dips, came out so-so OK.

My buddy found this awesome buckle. It is reminiscent of a type found in the CA gold-rush camps. Which often had military themes/motifs on them . Eg.: Eagles, anchors, etc... Yet weren't military. But based on the similarity of type and feel, we are assuming 1850-70-ish range. Anyone here got any info they can add about this ?

Other than that, some CW era eagle buttons, rivets, lantern parts, etc.... Fun fun !
Congrats on the sweet half dime, tokens and relics Tom. Love the buckle. And for me a hunt never seems complete without a token or two and to find a rare one is just icing on the cake. Well done. Mark

Funny, but my hunt partner & I were just making this observation prior to this trip that : Of all the time in the field, 3x of that is spent on research. Doh !

Nice finds Tom, congratulations.
Good show! I like that buckle, tokens are awesome!

Looks like the trip was a good one.
Wow, only two others known to exist! That's a totally different level of rarity! What a great find!
Very cool grabs!
Sweet finds!!

thanx for joining us on our hunt guys !

Nice stuff!

….surprised California doesn’t have a Treasure Act yet requiring you to turn in your rare stuff like England!!

Need some in-situ reveals!!

Don't EVEN get me started !!

Looks like some fun hunting and you didn't even get to swing the D2.

Hey Chris, it's out of the box. I read the instructions cover to cover yesterday. MAN this has a lot of control options that no one is ever likely to use. Doh ! Still haven't gotten it out for a spin yet. My trusty Explorer II got the targets in this post.

I was getting ready to give Tom a poke for less finds than usual, but of course he made up for it with something rare. well done once again Tom!
