I was watching the news tonight and it showed a beach somewhere warm right now covered with spring breakers. I know ya'll hit those beaches frequently especially during spring break. My question is what your strategy for hunting is. Such as after dark, or very early in the morning. Or just bumping elbows with the beach bunnies. I would assume it to be a gold mine, and I use that term literally. Got to be a lot of bling lost to the sand monster.:waytogo:

Dude. Anytime all the time. When in doubt whip your metal detector out. Us guys in Michigan don't have to think twice about public property. It's open territory. I am going to swing. There's is not a lot of detectors around here from what I can see.

Beaches sound like a dream to me....Hoser lets go.

You guys are funny. Watch the news , utube springers , etc...and you think the beaches are laden with gold based on the sheer #s.🤣. Lots of things to consider. Don't be blinded by beauty ! The majority of people on the beach under 35 aren't wearing gold. If anything , it will be titanium , tungsten , silver , silicon rings , etc. All junk. Of course there are recent gold drops , but not in #s. Reports , videos from out here with mega gold are all older finds. 20 , 30 , 40+ years old. When more people wore it and it was cheaper. The storms bring it in from offshore. Totally different economics and demographics now.

Spring breakers will wear gold again if we pay off their College debt. Lol! FWIW they wear a lot of junk, I rarely do good on spring break. Last hunt someone else got 5 rings. A silver Tiffany ring and a brass Pandora ring was the best of it. I got 8 stud earrings and a belly piercing. Only one earring was silver.

Add that and even clad numbers are way down due to parking meters no longer taking coins. Everything paid with apps & credit cards.

WOW I had no idea. I do see what you mean by no coins are used rather apps and cards. As Felix said; titanium , tungsten , silver , silicon rings are the new norm. I can see ya'll have only one thing you can do and that is putting up warning signs. "Warning!! The surgeon general has found that the use of modern metals such as Tungsten, and Titanium is not permitted as when mixed with salt and sand causes a rare disease called SCRABUNGUS of the BLOWHOLE. Only the use of no less than 14K gold will be permitted on this beach.:rofl2:

I cannot wait for Easter here! The beaches will be packed, and gold will be found!

Anytime is fine. Obviously the sooner you can get to the beach after the beaches have been full is better but there are always stuff to find, you just have to grind it out. There are retirees that do this everyday so they're going to find more than the weekend warrior but I find plenty on my outtings and I'm just a Sunday warrior. You have to like to fish to metal detect in that you need to go for hours, even days before you make a great find or catch. Enjoy the beach, look at the swimming and walking wildlife and realize you're on a sunny beach metal detecting.

Easter here we usually find mostly lost plastic eggs with some chump change inside. Of course if they bury the paper money in an egg we are gonna miss it. Lol!

Most of the spring break beach hunt reports I've seen are exactly like KOB and others described. Lots of "junk" jewelry and a ton of those disposable vape things. But there's good stuff out there for sure, just not in large quantity.

i don't mind a crowded beach but you always have the feeling the good stuff is under the towels.

so i like to go after 6pm. not as hot and the crowd has thinned out.
