Usually on an outing one should expect to dig a fair amount of pennies; sort of a penny parade! Today was a tad off kilter with an item that I have never dug before........a Pokeman pin. Mind you that in itself is not that exciting but with it was makeup. Thinking Pokeman was in drag a few times.
The field was flat, cut and easy on the knees. What was hard was dealing with Niagara Nose and burning eyes from the bug infused sweat coming off my chrome dome. The Deep Woods off did not do the dew as I was constantly under siege from flying vampires.
Goes with the territory one would guess. Anyway the pennies were few and far between with the toonies (what we call our one dollar coins here in Canada....eh) by far the most abundant coins found! Total for the hour 15 was $12.71 which is enough to buy a pint in any country. Sure miss the Guinness out of the tap!
Back to the grind tomorrow as the weekly visit of the Norwegian Breakaway visits us at pier 22 with it's 4200 plus passenger load. Know a few crew members and trade some coins with them as well as the last two stops our whole detail was invited aboard ship for a meal. Bonus!
