Found this in trees near a creek that runs between two of my detecting sites that have yielded coins back to the early 1900s, so could be legit. Looks like a better quality bottle than modern throwaway longnecks, and has a "35" code on bottom along with the big A logo. Any input will be welcome! SIDE NOTE: bottles found outdoors around here usually are "limed up" - ways to remove the stains are also welcome. Couldn't believe it when i was in an old dump near Indianapolis nd all the bottles i brought home came crystal clean in soapy water.

I've seen that mark before but those brain cells just aren't firing at the moment. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Here's a little info on bottle marks:
Not sure if yours is on the list, I could not find anything that looked similar. I'm almost certain glasshopper would know, hopefully he will chime in shortly.

So is it not pre-WWII? I didn't figure it was valuable but if it was from the first half of the 20th century I will clean it and hang onto it.

As cellrdweller said, no info. on that style of "A" on the bottom, but, the presence of "stippling" (hashmarks around the bottom of a bottle) means WW2 or later. Those evidently were added for manufacturing reasons, and I've also read that they were to add "grip" so the bottle wouldn't slide easier on a flat surface. In any event, that's some kind of beer or ale and generally not of interest to collectors (yet, lol.).
