I went to a new spot tonight after work. I cant wait to get a day off to properly hunt this area. Its a hour drive for me. I only got about an hour of hunting it before it got too dark to see what i was doing. I left targets in the ground. I didnt want to leave. 😆

Another great hunt you've had, Digger! You must be rather excited to know that there are more signals to pursue at that location.

If you don't mind, perhaps you could educate me about the bullets you find. I know that 3-ringers are associated with the Civil War, but were they used exclusively for the war, or just used generally during that time period? And how do the ones with more or fewer rings fit in the picture? Thanks in advance.

Both sides used three ring bullets. The two ring bullets are gardners. They are Confederate. Im sure the rifled muskets were used to hunt after the war. The bullets im finding on this post are from the Gettysburg retreat. The ones i posted yesterday were thrown out by Confederates in Carlisle. They were in Carlisle before the battle of Gettysburg. This post relics are after the battle.

Thank you much for the explanation! I used the new "Bookmark" feature on the forum to save your post, so I can read it again another time. It's interesting to learn the history behind our finds; and I especially enjoy United States history.
