Dirt Fishing Adventures' first hunt of 2023 will be in S.E. Connecticut, not far from Foxwoods Casino.

This hunt will be on April 29th from 9 am to 4 pm on an 18th century farm in excess of 100 acres in size that the owner tells us has never been detected.

There will be freebies, a seeded area, and a port a potty on location for the day.

Tickets are $90 for adults, $40 for teens 13-17, and free for kids 12 and under with a paid adult and can be purchased at this link.

Any questions email [email protected]

Maybe next time mention that there is a cap on the amount of people attending. Luckily I didn't book a room already, or this could have been really bad news. Good luck to you all!

Everything has a limit. I put it out on all of our social media accounts on Sunday that we had 17 tickets left and they sold out by Monday afternoon. Sorry you missed out, there will be many more.

Understood, I checked the original post and also the link above, and did not see any mention of number of tickets, so I didn't rush to purchase one. I don't use social media, other than Friendly. No problem, maybe next time. Good luck to everyone attending!

Just out of curiosity, what's the typical ticket limit on these things? How many people are you fighting for the same ground?
Hi Geo,

The number of tickets available varies depending on the size and type of the location.

Last year's hunts had 60, 62, and 70 participants respectively. The first one was capped at 60 due to the size of the property, but the second and third could have handled more. Both were right around 130 acres in size.

We cap hunts at 3 people per acre on open, clear ground like plowed fields, and fewer per acre if the ground is rough or wooded.

Our business model is to focus on hunts capped at 100 people regardless of the size of the property to keep them manageable and to allow for a more personal experience.

We were not expecting the response we got for April's hunt and ticket sales shot over 110 almost 6 weeks out from the hunt. Because of this, we put it out on the website and all of our social media accounts that there were 17 tickets remaining and shut it down when sales hit 130.

There is more than enough room for everyone to hunt all day on April 29th.

I hope this answers helps, thanks for asking.

Just no bogus finds like last year. One guy claimed to have found a Morgan dollar AND a capped bust half dollar! Right!
