Hello all, I've been detecting an old site I hadn't tried before, and found 5 old coins, but I'm intrigued with these finds posted here. Two are old enamelled trinkets, measuring 1.8 cm, possibly from an old braclet, and a hunting dog button, which measures 2.5 cm. One of the coins I found is an 1818 silver shilling, King Geroge 3rd. It's very worn, but the date is just readable under the head.

Nice finds Angela.

I agree with you about the trinkets. They were most likely part of a bracelet.

The one on the right reminds me of the Masons or Eastern Star.

Very cool finds indeed. I agree that they might have been part of an old braclet. Good going.

Thank you for your replies all! I thought I'd post here a couple of photos of some of my best buttins found on the goldfields so far. Hope you like them!

That's a very nice assortment of buttons! Just think of all the people that dropped those. Amazing.

Hi beer, those other buttons are made of glass, but some of those have a metal loop on the back, inserted into the glass during manufaturing. The others that don't, I did dig them up while digging for other relics.

WOW, thats an awesome assortment of buttons you found. Must have been a lot of people running arond with their pants down around their knees.
