Today, Buckeye and I went to Akron to hunt an old school with a super large yard... Yielded a bunch of junk and the strange looking pendant and chain in the picture? I'm thinking I've seen one of them before... Indiana Jones maybe? It's quite heavy. We got tired of sweating at the school and drove back to our neck of the woods where we hunted a isolated ball field that must have been used since the 50's or 60's. Buckeye found a silver Rosie right out of the car practically and I managed to find this 1967 Kennedy Half... which I come to find out is 40% silver... My heart skipped a beat when I saw the large size and silver gleen in the hole... I was hoping it was an older one, but I'm not complaining! I found the 1946 Rosie two days ago at my wife's cousins place. It was nice to get some silver in the pouch again... I was thinking I was in a slump...

Cool! Not sure what it is, though. But I think I've seen one before too.

Lived in Springfield Township and went to school there.

I found it... Wrong movie... It was Pirates of the Caribbean.

aww, beefcake beat me to it! haha I saw the symbol and Jack Sparrow instantly popped in my head. Very nice looking coins you found, and a cool pendant at that!

Nice find for sure . Watch out for the pirates they might be looking for it . Glad you found some silver too . HH Harold

HaHa, that ring in St Aug makes other finds sort of a let down, doesn't it. Next time mail me the ring and you will be happy with the coins.

For the good of the hobby... I'll send it right out schrecky!!...lol I have to be honest... it's really fun beach detecting and I miss using a scoop... Can't wait till next year to hit the beach again.
