Hi all,

I am so glad the hack is over! I got permission to hunt an old site on weekdays only that has never been hunted and goes back to the 1930's, which is pretty old for here in Washington State.

I found my oldest coins so far in my new hobby (about 2 months now);

1. A 1927 wheat penny
2. A 1937 wheat penny
3. About another 60 cents in clad
4. A hand held compass
5. An old dog key chain

I can't wait to go there again and again...and hopefully find my first silver!
I just made a deal to buy a new detector from a guy on another forum (I have a Bounty Hunter Quick draw-my first machine) who has only used it twice and it still has 18 months warrany. He is selling it because his knees have pretty much given out on him, and he still has a Whites MXT.

I hope the new machine is a good deal...which I'm pretty sure it is. It is a Whites Matrix M6 detector with a 950 coil, a 5.3 coil, two coil covers, and a digger, with shipping included for $650.00. I can't wait to use it at my new site!

Sorry I don't have pics...I hope to figure out how to do that soon because seeing everyones pictures is awesome!

My wife and I live in the Tacoma area-Spanaway. I went to school at Western. I Loved Bellinham! I have a few friends that live in Lynden too.

Congratulations on your finds. I can tell by the enthusiasm in your post that you are hooked on the hobby. With that excitement and new machine you will be finding silver in no time. Best of luck on your future hunts. Keep us informed of how you do.:yes:

That sounds like a great deal~!! After you find some goodies post your finds and good luck with your new machine.. You have found some nice stuff so far!

Update guys.... I decided to go with Larry at NWI detectors for a brand new M 6, bullseye pinpointer, and digger plus shipping for $625.00. I felt too uncomfortable sending a Money order check to someone in Pennsylvania with no guarantys-especially after just reading how someone got ripped off for $600.00!
