Well, the custom gold program I've been working on did its stuff today. Took the D2 to where I found the big 925 wedding band and found 2 more rings. One is a very nice old 14k. First time I'd seen gold tarnish so badly, but it cleaned up just fine. Then the wife confiscated it LOL.

Only one pull tab out of all the targets I recovered. The rest were pennies, rings, a piece of bling, and a ball air needle. I'm just running the stck Fast with a notch for tabs at 64-67.

First peek in the ground.

Almost looked fake.

After cleaning. Clear 14k stamp inside.

Awesome!!! Congrats!!!

That's great! That gold definitely has some age. Impressive good target to trash ratio as well. Congrats!

I'm working on the best gold program I can get. I have tested all my gold and pull tabs/foil, and have found that notching out just a few numbers should bring my gold odds up a lot. I am also adjusting the Reactivity/Recovery speed, Iron volume, Silencer, and Audi Response to enhance the gold as I go. Using Pitch Tones I now get a warbly tone on gold, where a piece of foil or a tab is not discriminated out makes a more single tone. I actually called this last gold ring because I only recovered it because it had a warbly tone.

Seems like you're on the right track! As a fellow D2 swinger, I'd be interested in hearing more about your settings once you finish getting it dialed in and testing it out myself, if you're willing to share.
