I had almost forgotten that in these last 3 days we would have early dismissal for the students. When I checked the tide schedule Sunday night, I saw a negative tide. I didn’t need much convincing and loaded up NuBlu and the rest of the equipment in my truck before going to work. At 1:30 pm I was in the water. This time, instead of my usual northerly trek, I headed south – a rare occurrence. The 1st ring early in the hunt was the massive blingy gold that would’ve made my month had it been real. :jawdrop:I immediately saw the copper showing through on the inside however. Later was the unusual silver ring with the “Cartier” screws. Then another small junky ring. My last ring I thought was stainless at the time as I must have been in all metal when I got it. The nice, junk cross was my last jewelry target. When I got to the car, I saw with the loupe that the stainless ring said “Sterling” on the inside along with “Always and Forever” with a heart shape. The front is inscribed “1168 Miles”. I have to imagine it’s a ring from a long-distance relationship. I can’t think of anything else. 9 days of work left before my summer vacation begins! :gimmy::egyptian:

Nice job recovering those two silver rings, Felix! It may not be gold, but silver counts for something too! :cool3:

Are you going to detect every day when you're off work?
I've been fighting tendonitis on my left forearm from all the scoop lifting. There are things that I am doing to compensate though. How much I detect depends on surf conditions. I'd also like to take my kayak out a few times. Going away with the wife for just over a week as well. But I think I can go 3-4X a week if all's good.

You got some weird mojo going on with silver............

Congrats on the rings! All summer off 😎 sounds like the perfect time for a road trip for some old coins. Been digging on one of those green things i detect for but this one wouldn't move with a 12 thousand pound winch hooked to it. Did get a permission on a old farm and detected for 35 minutes and came home with a 42 walker and 41 Washington.

A simple , cheap forearm velcro strap specially for that purpose does wonders. It also makes you look like a pro athlete.

It is horrible to deal with. I had to have both of my elbows injected with cortisone to get over the pain. Now I detect with bands on both my forearms.
