I had almost forgotten that in these last 3 days we would have early dismissal for the students. When I checked the tide schedule Sunday night, I saw a negative tide. I didn’t need much convincing and loaded up NuBlu and the rest of the equipment in my truck before going to work. At 1:30 pm I was in the water. This time, instead of my usual northerly trek, I headed south – a rare occurrence. The 1st ring early in the hunt was the massive blingy gold that would’ve made my month had it been real. I immediately saw the copper showing through on the inside however. Later was the unusual silver ring with the “Cartier” screws. Then another small junky ring. My last ring I thought was stainless at the time as I must have been in all metal when I got it. The nice, junk cross was my last jewelry target. When I got to the car, I saw with the loupe that the stainless ring said “Sterling” on the inside along with “Always and Forever” with a heart shape. The front is inscribed “1168 Miles”. I have to imagine it’s a ring from a long-distance relationship. I can’t think of anything else. 9 days of work left before my summer vacation begins!
