Metal Detector Backpack Recommendations

Hello to everyone.

I have a question. What metal detector backpack would be ideal for relic hunting? Something durable and high quality.

You can use mine, just make sure its full when you return it :lol: I use the Ozark trail hiking backpacks. They come in many different sizes, and some even come with a bladder for hydration.
 
If you want high quality and durable, you WANT an Deus pack. I've done a lot of backpacking over the years and I know what a quality pack is. I have the 280 and love it. If you don't need to pack a lot of extra gear for winter detecting out in the woods like I do, I would think the XP 240 would suit your needs fine. If you are not actually planning on packing your detector, the 240 is still a great choice but other well made rucksacks would fit the bill also.
 
Old post but I use multi- racket tennis racket case and add shoulder straps myself. They open in long direction allowing easy access to detector and the wide part is where the coil sits. Works amazingly well for most detectors-

Deus packs have pockets placed with a detectorist in mind, like a special pinpointer pocket. A quality pack at a reasonable price. Paid $55 for mine.
To keep things in your car these plastic under bed storage totes are great. Find them at dollar stores for about $20.

I put my money where my mouth is and bought the 240 a few months ago. Like the 280, it is a very well made pack. It's made of lighter materials and worked out great for me in the warmer weather when I don't need to carry as much gear. I've switched back to the 280 during the winter but I suspect many people could use the 240 year round.
