This weekend was the “Air & Sea Show” on Miami Beach. Normally, I avoid the crowds, but low tide was early, so like a ninja on Saturday I was in and out before the throngs of hundreds started to show up as I was leaving. Saturday was not successful. I did not go out yesterday as that was another day of the “Air Show”, and I figured I’d hunt today to take advantage of any fresh drops from both days. Merlin came off the bench today as it seems NuBlu needed a rest. I was out in the water at 7:30am. Looking north and south, I saw no other :pirates:. The water was very clear and most of the seaweed and “crappaccino” seemed to be taking a respite. I was hitting a lot of juicy quarters early on that did not seem to be fresh drops. I took that as a very good sign. The tungsten carbide came early as well. Another good sign. I really thought the gold was going to come today. The targets then slowed down as I headed north. After 2 hours, I would see another 3 pirates (saw another later), so I no longer had the beach to myself. At the 3-hour mark, I headed back. I was working a bit deeper when I went through a patch that had some light seaweed on the bottom. I got a target in all-metal. I switched over to discriminate since I was in the seaweed and it now sounded like foil. :nah: Oh well, I get the 2nd scoop up and looked inside and was in shock :dingding:. I knew it was gold by the design. I could also barely make out a mark. After 4.5 hours, I ended my hunt. Back at the car, I got the jeweler’s loupe and saw the “14K”. At home, I weighed it in at .96 grams. I was happy to have scored even though it wasn’t much. :neat:

Remember the fallen...

Way to go! Still haven't seen seaweed my way. I'm OK with that! You do like me. When the crowds show up fighting over parking, I'm leaving for the house. I learned not to tell someone they can have my parking spot since a couple fights broke out. I'm not sure how the parking spot dispute went when I left today? I know the person waiting for my spot got out and was fiddling with their trunk and someone else pulled in. The finger pointing was starting when I rounded the corner and drove out of sight.

What is a juicy quarter?

All those words for a earring
It's denomination of currency that is 25X better than a penny.
I'm just trying to help you build up your reading comprehension.

Nice report. I went to a Lake Michigan beach last night around 7pm thinking things would have started quieting down.
No such luck, parking lot was nearly full.
And at 7:30pm there were multiple police cars from multiple departments announcing the beach was now closed.

Too many young people in a giant mass that gave the appearance of possible fights breaking out.
Which has happened in the past.

Last night 2 Marines were beat & kicked in San Clemente by a group of teens , all on video and on the news. This is a place I grew up on , at the base of the pier. San Clemente has always been a military town next to Camp Pendelton. I know the marines can get drunk and rowdy but this is disgusting. About 30-40 teens who have no respect whatsoever. I wish there had been about 6 more Marines with them to "spank" these kids like their parents never have. I'm embarrassed for the town I grew up in and occasionally still go to.
