Found this on what used to be a major highway back around 1920 or later.
Location is Northern Michigan. It is now a orv trail and is at a bridge over a large river.

Hard to say. I seem to find melted blobs of metal all the time. Either from cars that were burned or burned down buildings.

Lead melts at a rather low temp. When I was a kid we'd melt hunks of lead and pour it into soldier molds. We cooked the lead over a regular kitchen stove. Does it feel kind of soft?

Seems to have a greenish color - possibly copper? What color is it if you file off the surface oxidation?

I can bend the very outside edges. Here is a couple more pics one of the back and one to copare to quarter. It is also very thin.

I was going to post nearly the same post. I dug up to "blobs" that look about the same, but about twice the size over the weekend. Mine seem to hard to be lead, but Im not sure, when I scratch the surface it gets very shiny.
