Well, the day started slow but ended well. Went out with Forum member Megan to an old fort site and after a couple hours we didn't manage to dig much except for a few musket balls, modern bullets and trash so we both headed home. I decided to hit the grass field next to my house and in 2 hours pulled 4 buttons, a first year 1816 Matron and a fatty IHP. Hunting around my house has been very productive so far this year with the Nox :D

Awesome saves Steve. Congrats on the LC, fatty Ihp and relics. Still looking for my first fatty. Maybe this year. Good luck. Mark

Good job! 1861 is the scarcest year for "fatty" indians.

Congrats Steve! You're back on the good old stuff train again. John

Well done. You have some nice finds there. Good shape also.

Good job on the nice finds! I would love to find either of them. I got one Fatty already, but no large cent yet.

Big congrats on some awesome finds. That largie has some great detail for sure. Well done.:waytogo:

One of these days Tom one of these days. I can feel it in my rickety bones. Either you or I will catch one of these sneaky little varmints.:rofl2:

Very cool! Congrats on some great finds!

Thanks everyone. It's nice when I can walk 30 seconds from my back door and detect a good spot. And btw, I have not been using it much so took the Legend out for an hour this morning to the same spot :D Gotta love it!!

What ?? ANOTHER LC ? Sick sick sick.

Oh, and the "poor little east coast guy" had to walk 30 seconds from his back door to reach it, eh ? Couldn't get there in 15 seconds this time ? Oh the horror.

Nice, that 1864 looks crisp. Some of those are worth a pretty penny. Mark

Great finds! All very cool. Any idea what was on the site before your house? ( assuming it is not a 1700's stone house :laughbounce: )
Actually, it's a 5-acre field next to my house. An 1875 map shows a house there. I have found a lot of old nails, pottery, 30+ buttons, horse tack, an 8 Reale, 2 KG's, 3 LC's and 4 IHP's there. No clad found. And I find more stuff every time they plow it.
