I was up and on the beach before sunrise with Noxy to a beach that is on my occasional rotation. I fully intended to make it a complete water hunt, but I started off on the wet sand. Even though there was no special erosion showing, I was hitting some blackened nickels, so I kept on. I would then continue in the water, going further further north and returning in the water. I then hopped out again and started working the same area of the wet sand but further above, closer to the tide line. Some nickels again and then a nice pyramid sinker. At about the 2-hour mark, I get a very jumpy 23-25 signal. Of course I was expecting a penny or a dime, but on the second scoop :dingding:. I could not believe the weight and I immediately knew that baby was going to be good! (I actually blurted some profanities ). I saw a very distinctive jeweler’s mark but couldn’t see any karat mark. I continued now south from my starting point – mixing in about 50-50 wet sand and water hunting. As I was ending my 4-hour hunt, and near my starting point, I get a 16-17 on Noxy. Up comes the gold-plated silver ring. However, very close to it I also get a softer 8-9, and when I get that scoop up :dingding:. I knew that one was going to be good by the numbers that I got. Back at my car, I was hoping for the gold hat trick. I checked the honker first and saw “14K”! :woohoo:. Then I checked the first one of the 2 rings from the water and saw the plating was wearing off and “S925”. Next up was the 2nd one, and it clearly had “14K”.:clapping: At home, I found the jeweler for the honker ring, and I couldn’t believe its sales price. :jawdrop:Not a bad day at the office if you ask me with 2 gold rings and 2 older iPhones.
