This new version of the forum software apparently doesn't work with my FireFox/Windows 7 combination. I hate the fact that some software sacrifices browser compatibility in exchange for whizbang graphics. Sure, I can display and read, but when I tried to post, I got some pretty green animated bars at the top of the screen. I know it's not Vlad and Carol's fault, but you may want to post a warning about this.

FWIW, test post from FF 99.0.1 (64 bit) windows 10.

I notice that it seems to crop the picture without my consent. I'm not sure if the old software worked that way/is this a feature or bug or am I doing something wrong.

BTW, my post above was made using an old Windows 7 compatible version of Chrome.

P.S. This post was made with FireFox/Windows 7. I only briefly saw the green bars this time.

Let me try a stripped down version of linux with FF v78.11

Tom, I suspect the issue is, you're trying to post a picture that is too large?
Try a smaller image and see if it works. There is a limit of 1.2MB

Randy, you have to click on your picture to see the full size image.
I think this is what you referring to?
The cropped version is just a thumbnail.

Also, once the image is uploaded (but before you submit your reply), you can click where it says "Insert" and it will show 2 options: "Thumbnail" and "Full image". If you choose thumbnail, it inserts inline a small, low quality version:
Insert Image.png

If you choose "Full image" it will insert inline a full quality version of the image as you uploaded it:

If you choose "Full image" it will insert inline a full quality version of the image as you uploaded it:
You can also scale it to fit the page better after this step.
Let me try it... yep, you need to click on the image first, then drag the corner to scale.

It only shows a thumbnail in the post but if you click on the image it works fine...

Yes this what I was referring to. I guess not a FF issue after all. I didn't notice the "Insert" options first time, will try again. If it works as I expect it to, it would be nice if it could just default to "Full Image". I know when I read others' posts, I like looking at the pics inline, but would not click thru on each image. Ok, lets attach an image and see what happens.

Yeah, that's it. Insert -> Full Image on the thumbnail. Easy to miss. Pending others' opinion on this, I will reiterate my desire for "Full Image" as the default if possible.

It is the default to upload full image if you click on the attach image icon (
Attach Image Inline Icon.png
) above where you type.

After you click on it, click on the box that pops up to select image from your device, or you can upload an image from a URL if you click on the link tab.

I wasn't trying to post a picture, only start a new thread. I seem to be able to reply in a thread in FF, but when I tried to create a new thread, I got the green bars o'death. I will try again sometime and let you know how it goes.

Question Tom... I haven't started any new threads yet, but you started this one so I am confused by your post...
