I was Jonesin? bad for a hunt, been in the deep freeze and snow/sleet since Friday. Three days is the longest I?ve ever gone without a hunt since I got my detector. It was up to 28 degrees by noon and incredibly for Oklahoma there was only a 3 mph wind, so I suited up and headed for a park. It had about a ½ to ¾ inch hard crust of snow that I could cut with my knife/probe and lift out as a solid plug. The moisture hadn?t penetrated the turf, so below the snow I was still dealing with drought conditions. I had hunted the tot lot last week, so I did trees and high traffic paths. I got about 4 hours in, and came in exhausted. I guess the extra layers and the cold got to me more than I realized. Didn?t feel it while I was hunting, just after I got home. 22 coins total. All clad and memmies.

Hoping my Vibra-probe arrives tomorrow. I?m a little nervous about it, my first e-bay purchase. It?s a used 460, I either got a bargain, or a lesson in what not to do. Guess I?ll know when the package arrives.

Well as Annie sings ?The sun will be out tomorrow?.

Nice going on your hunt trobaugh, let us know about your PPer when it comes in :)

I'm sure the probe will work fine for you Bob. Good to hear you are able to get out and do some hunting too. Good luck.

I hear you, Bob. The weather kept me inside all weekend and I don't get home early enough during the week to have enough light to hunt with.

Looks better for next weekend, although the wind's going to be a bit ferocious.

Enjoy that 460 Bob, I bought one used off ebay last year and thoroughly enjoy it. One hint, it will lose depth as the battery runs down and will die fast when it does. Carry a spare, although the batteries last a long time in them.
