I want a 5x9" HF for my Deus 2

Any plans to make a 9.5x5" HF, or equivalent, coil for the D2 in the rumor bin? I miss mine I had on my Deus.

Since I don't hunt deep coins anymore I'm half tempted to trade my D2 in for a D1 with 9.5x5" HF coil.

I hope XP will make a 9.5X5" coil for Deus 2 also. It doesn't need to be waterproofed to 60 feet and the battery could still be wired and placed inside the lower shaft.

For me, it would make a big difference for gold prospecting small gold nuggets, for even better target separation and especially for getting a coil into tight spaces like between small bushes, boulders and roots where the 9" coil just can't fit.

I have toyed with the idea of getting an ORX with the HF elliptical coil. It took seven years for XP to release that coil for Deus 1. I don't think I can wait seven years for them to release one for Deus 2.....

The way I see it----XP isn't providing a 9.5X5" coil for the Deus 2 for one of two reasons (maybe both reasons). ------They don't want to "kill" sales of the ORX & D1 (with that coil)---or---for some reason un-beknown to us they can't make that coil "work" for the D2 with the FMF technology.

XP can make it if enough people want it, and I believe enough people want it. They already have the form factor, they just need to develop a short FMF circuit board to fit inside the short cross struts of the 9x5 coil case and figure out if they're going to use a smaller internal battery (waterproof but shorter run time) or run the battery up the lower shaft (longer run time but not waterproof). They could also make a sealed water tight lower shaft with the battery in it and sell it prewired to the coil. Just some thoughts, XP.
