Dug in my backyard , I had it for a couple of months and thought it was a small button. Started cleaning some finds and found it's a Roman coin. I did some research and located some info on how it might have possibly ended up in Dedham Massachusetts

I'm afraid to clean it anymore without damaging it.

Congrats, that's a nice backyard find for sure!
We used to buy some of those for our seated club hunts in RI. They were surprisingly cheap, at least at the time.

That looks like a Follis approx. 355-361 AD. Nice find.
