I had a pretty good beach day

It's very rare to find a beach like you have found that hasn't been hunted by other detectorists. All that old stuff would have been gobbled up in one weekend down here. You hit the gold mine with that place! Work it until it dries up.
You have to remember ocean beaches especially on the East coast of US and West coast of CA can either erode or fill in due to tide, storms, current and wind direction. Also targets are sorted by weight. With heavier targets in one area of the beach and light trashy targets elsewhere. OP was either good at reading beaches or lucky or both. These concentrated areas of good targets can become detectable or undetectable depending on time.

Maxxkatt it was the storm we just got moved the sand out I was lucky enough to take the day off and go out. I had been getting coins in that spot before but the day l got twenty six silvers and a ton of clad in one little pocket was definitely in my opinion was from the storm. The beach is correcting itself now and the older stuff is getting harder to find. So i think my streak is over I did find one merk today to make my count 80 coins and a little silver ring. I will make a new post of pics to show my goon fortune

So this is the grand total for coins I will get back out a few more times because of the big tides this week but I’m sure the unbelievable run is over and I have to get back out in the woods to look for the old stuff

Right time, right place great results. That is what makes beach hunting so much fun and frustrating when you are sanded in. But there are almost always fresh drops on heavily populated beaches. I used to pick my Florida beaches by using google earth to fly up and down the east coast and pick out the beaches with the biggest parking lots. Good indicator of the popularity of each beach.
