...and today I proposed to my girlfriend with that ring - and she said yes. Happy Valentine's Day!

What a wonderful idea! And now you know where all of your future gold finds (rings, necklaces, bracelets, ear rings) will go; errr more like be confiscated. Wives are detectorist - they detect your finds and never give them up.

Muhammad Ali would fight the fights and take all the punches. When he was done, he would take the bag of money home and give it to his wife. It gives new meaning and understanding to being more than a conqueror. He was the conqueror, but she was more than a conqueror. You may pay the price and find the gold, but she gets to keep it when you get home.

Good luck and the ring looks great.

I’m curious, did you work out some type of trade with the jeweler for the gold cut from the earring for a premade band he brazed to the face of the earring?
