One year it seemed I was destined to get my 1916 D. In one year I found 3 1916s. Two with a S, and the last was unreadable. I think my last one was a 1916 D and I'm sticking to it LOL.

Wow, that's one everyones bucket list. I have found a bunch of the 1916's but everytime my hopes are spoiled when I check the mintmark. Congrats Keith!

Hi everyone, it's been a while . I went on a hunt with CarsonChris today and at our 3rd and final stop I dug a Mercury dime. I sprayed the dirt of the obverse and saw 1916. Now since this is my 3rd 1916 (first 2 were s mint marks) I had to hand it to Chris and have him look at the reverse. After a forever pause, he said "you did it". I am thrilled to have this lady in my collection!

That's amazing! The only 1916 I ever dug was a barber. My digging buddy had found a 16 s and a 16 plain merc. We're getting close lol.

I got lucky in 2022. I dug a 1895 O Barber dime. I had no clue it was a rare coin until I got home.

Congrats man! I always seem to think the only way to get a rate coin is to dig them up. The rest are already in a collection somewhere!
