Got out today on a kind invite from one of the forum members here. Tried the GPX4500 for about an hour and half, but at many areas the iron blanking (nulling) was so bad it made it kinda pointless unless I moved and found a cleaner spot....that coupled with digging zero relics but a bunch of small (tiny)deep iron a foot to foot and half down caused me to give up and go back to my G2/Ultimate combo. Found a small area that produced 2 cartridge box/ cap box finials (got my first ever last weekend, now two more...gonna call 2016 the year of the cap box finials!) , another first a .44 cal pinfire casing, knapsack hook piece, two rifle trigger guard pieces and a bunch of camp lead. Now it is my turn to get the forum member here on a site. Thanks for looking and HH'ing!

The old Camp has been detected quite abit, Glad you was able to save some more finds, Very Nice. Hopefully soon, I can get us in alittle better productive site.

Nice saves! Yep, the GPX is a great tool, but every tool has a purpose. There are certainly sites where a good vlf will run circles around the GPX, and sites where the reverse is true. Hammer and wrench ha-ha. That pinfire casing is a great find! Any pinfire is on my bucket list.

Excellent finds Seky.

I'm always envious of our members that get to dig finds like these.

Back East we might get into some older coins and stuff because the East got settled sooner, but finds with this kind of history are very significant.

Congratulations!
