How old is this horse shoe?

thicker than some other horse shoes I have found. Not sure how old it could be, or if it is just one of those game horse shoes.

It's not a pitching shoe. It is most likely a left hind shoe from a gaited horse (Morgan, Saddlebred, etc...)
The weight of the shoe has a lot to do with the arc of travel of the foot. The heavier the shoe, the higher the horse tends to pick up their foot.

Virtually impossible to date them, mostly because the majority of gaited horse shoes are still handmade today much the same as they were over 150 years ago.

It is probably of the same age as this crotal bell found in the same area, but I can’t date the bell either.
