How old is this horse shoe?

thicker than some other horse shoes I have found. Not sure how old it could be, or if it is just one of those game horse shoes.

It's not a pitching shoe. It is most likely a left hind shoe from a gaited horse (Morgan, Saddlebred, etc...)
The weight of the shoe has a lot to do with the arc of travel of the foot. The heavier the shoe, the higher the horse tends to pick up their foot.
 
It is probably of the same age as this crotal bell found in the same area, but I can’t date the bell either.
