Historic ring?

Found this signet ring in the ocean in a place with old Scottish ties. I saw a similar one online that dates from the 1850s. The crest is from the Robertson clan of Scotland. I can’t read one of the hallmarks but the “crown” is clear along with “18” and “g”. I can’t find much information to tell if it is 170+ years old or a modern remake. From what I read European gold used “750” instead of “18” after 1973. Beautiful ring none the less! Any more information would be greatly appreciated from the wealth of information on here.

Says “Virtutis Gloria Merces” on the signet. The motto of the Robertson Clan of Scotland.
