I have a Nox 600, with Garrett MS-3 Z-Lynk wireless headphone's that work great. For a back-up, I have a set of crap Minelab corded headphones. I say crap because the first time I used them the adjustable frame broke, (covered by tape in photo). I have a set of Garrett MS-2 corded headphones that when plugged in using a large to small plug-in adapter, will not work, as in no sound in headphone but sound at detector speaker. I have tried several different large to small adapters (including the one on the Garrett Z-Lynk wireless transmitter). Not sure what I'm missing, but any help is much appreciated. I'm heading out of Alaska to Texas to visit family and get my first of the year hunting in. Thanks all!

Adapters come in both Mono & Stereo. They are marked on the male tip with black stripes. It has to be the correct one for the detector. I’m not sure what the 600 uses. The Garrett MS 2s have two stripes. I’m pretty sure that indicates Stereo.

As far as I can tell, they're both stereo as both male tips have two black rings. Still not sure why they don't work. Went out and bought another large to small adapter and still won't work. I'm thinking Minelab did some proprietary stuff here/somehow?! Thanks for the input JCR

My 600 suddenly started doing the same thing with some Tascam headphones that had worked fine with it for two years. Switched to my old Sony stereo headphones and they work perfectly.

Thanks for the reply, Iggyks. For now, I will use the crappy Minelab's as a back-up. Maybe I won't need them.
