Can anyone tell me what this pontiac medallion was used for and maybe what year? The bottom of the medallion under the Indian says "Chief of the Sixes". It is 3 1/4" long x 1 3/4" high.

Also what caliber rifle bullet would this be? It is 1 1/2" high and 1/4" at it's widest part. I also included a photo of the bottom of the bullet.

That Pontiac medallion is hard to date. One similar token was posted here a while ago...hmm...that thread looks to be vanished. Anyways, similar tokens were issued over several decades with very little difference. As for the bullet, if your measurement is somewhat correct... ;) Then the actual calibre is in 6 - 6,5mm range. This means there are 100 or so cartridges that could use this bullet. So, impossible to say.

Try putting a micrometer on the bullet. That will give us a pretty good clue.

Doesn't look as though it's been fired...the measurement should help.
