I did a video showing clip with other data I shared verbally I got through the grapevine. I don’t own a Vortex,
That’s because you are not looking in the right place. HmmI do not see a link to the video.
I haven't noticed anything but i'm almost always in ms even in dirtYes I have verified this on my vortex as well as a friend's. It really worries me for those that have the vortex as their primary metal detector.
Tnsharpshooter, I made the video. Unfortunately, it will "clone" most any target. I do hope that they can get this issue resolved quickly. I don't post much or do YT videos but I have "tested" detectors for 30 years. (Including Nautilus, Blisstool, Fisher, Teknetics, Minelab, Garrett, Tesoro and XP) and this is the biggest flaw that I have ever seen. In the wild I could be missing 50% of the targets adjacent to iron if hunting for relics, cherry picking coins could be even worse.I did a video showing clip with other data I shared verbally I got through the grapevine. Don’t get him started on MinelabToo late, I'm a Minelab convert!![]()
Similar, and possibly the same cause. In single frequency, if you scrub the coin real close, it will stop making any noise and will stay silent even if you raise the coil a couple of inches. If you move the coil away from the coin, it will reset.
In multi, it will go into the lock signal mode at about two inches. Likewise, if you move the coil away and come in higher, it will stop doing it.
Pretty sad roll out and now they’ve released their 7 and 5 before fixing the 9. I wonder if they have the same problems? Nokta and Minelab have better performing detectors without problems for less money. Garrett needs to step up to compete or give up.
