I finally had a chance to get out this afternoon February 5th for a couple hour hunt at the local school near me. I found $2.21 - 7 quarters, 3 dimes, 2 nickles, 5 zinc pennies and 1 copper penny. Plus I found a junk kid's ring that should have had stones, part of a zipper and pin that says BE KIND.

Not my greatest Hunt but still an enjoyable afternoon. I was excited to get out today as it has been either too cold or too wet. Digging was easy today because of the recent rain we've had.

Thanks for looking! Good Luck and Happy Hunting!

Glad to hear you are back and MDing again! So you did not find a lot of treasure, but you did find $2.21….that better than some hunters do and you did it when many are stuck with their ground frozen! Good for you!
Thanks! This is my first post in the new forum. I was a little concerned I wasn't going to be able to figure it out but it wasn't that difficult to do.

Nice finds and good job on figuring out the new forum!
I spent this afternoon shoveling snow :coolinoff:

Congrats on the clad and getting out Penny. Being able to hunt in February is good thing. Good luck. Mark

Nice hunt......there's nothing wrong with digging modern coins because silver isn't going to pop out of the ground every time. Digging something keeps the interest alive. Congrats !

Ah c'mon, you're east of the Mississippi . So you ought to be digging LC's and colonial coppers hand-over-fist ! :impatient:

To be out hunting ANYTHING in the middle of February is an achievement in itself! Even in TN! Every time out is a learning experience, always valuable to keep the skills sharp!😎
