Two weeks ago, I had my first "double silver" day. Today was crazy in comparison! Let's start with a summary. FIVE silver coins and one is a half dollar!

One 1903 Barber half dollar New Orleans mint mark. (ten inches from the barber quarters).
Two 1911 Barber quarters. (same hole)
Two 1942 Washington quarters. (same hole)
Four "wheat" cents. Two are 1928, one is 1942 (S - San Francisco mint mark), and one is 1948.
Plus a pile of modern coins, a handful of (I think) tree markers, a key, a cross, a number 7 badge (different from the tree ones), a rabbies tag from Luray, VA and a little orange car.

It was brutal hot today. I was exploring a massive high school campus. It's the same one that produced the Civil War stuff. The school was built in the 1920's. There are several very large trees and to keep cool, and because they are a good place to search, I pretty much only searched from tree to tree. I left so much of the property unsearched. I think I'll be out there again.

First good find was that Washingtons. Came up as a 95 on the D2. I found one and swung over the hole before closing it. BEEEEP! Dug the second one out. Closed it and then got a hit on the first wheatie about 10 inches away to the right. Not sure which one, without glasses I can't see every detail in the field. I found three more wheaties, each alone. Then I hit the Barber quarters. Same deal. Found one, swept the hole and then the other. Then I swear, also ten inches away to the right, I get another 95. But this wasn't a quarter. I couldn't believe it. My first Barber quarters and half. Actually my first silver half of any kind.

I kept texting the family and then had to send another, and another. LOL
