Headed out to a river spot today with The Wolf hoping to find a few civil war relics.
The day started out kinda slow not much going on, found a V nickle, brass bow, brass suspender buckle, pocket knife, bullet.....well maybe it wasn't that slow after all.
So we moved down stream a bit and my first target was a US Buckle!!!! :jawdrop::clapping::excited: My first river plate!! The back shows it was in a fire due to the melted lead. Slowed down and found 2 bullets and a smashed eagle button close by.

If that's the only find you had all day , that would make it a great hunt . I cant imagine what its like to dig one of those . Awesome find .

Only thing I usually end up with after water hunts are wet clothes. Awesome finds!

It was a super fun day. Great finds man. It was great to get out and hit the rapids. :surfin:

I'll post my finds when I get home this evening. I ended up with 3 Sharps carbine bullets, a home-made fishing sinker from scrap lead, a lead whats-it, a brass rivet, and a large unknown toasty copper coin. Maybe a large cent, but I'm not sure, might be older.
