February was a 7 ring month, I've been skunked this month for rings. I had an hour and a very low battery on the Legend, saw a elementary school I haven't seen before and decided to hit the parking lot edges. ALERT. Parking lot edges in snowy areas are a gold mine so to speak. They push the snow to the edge of the lot, everything is in the dirt once it's melted. Bunch of coins found, nothing to speak of except for a 1963 dime which was deep. Walking back to the truck half ass swinging and get a high tone. Circle back a foot. Thinking double pull tabs or slaw. 4 stabs in the ground and bam, yellow.

Funny how when you are about to go home and chill, you get a hit. My battery died right then and there. Here's a pic after I cleaned it up. Definitely a diamond, no markings inside that I can find yet.

Outstanding! You are smoking the rings for sure. Well done my friend, well done indeed. :waytogo:
I'm smoking the ring tabs for sure, I really like the Legend, I'm not digging as much trash as I did, pennys still make me get down and dig, but after a while, you get to know your detector and leave the trash in the ground. Most penny tones hit at 40 - 43, silver and gold scream at me, anything over 47 nickels 24-26. I'm going back tomorrow for a few.

Wow that's nice one, I hope you're back on track after this dry spell.

Dang nice looking ring. That's a chunky diamond. Always would bug me finding a ring w/ no markings! But finding any ring is always a thrill too. Been too long for me I will say! Congrats :)

Very nice looking ring, congrats. Good luck. Mark

Excellent find! If that's real, could be worth having it looked at by a professional. Congrats!!!
I popped the stone out and dropped it in water. Sank. Going to get it looked at because I know diamonds and this one looks real.

Beautiful ring and thanks for the tip about parking lot edges.
It dawned on me that edges of lots could be a semi hot spot. It definitely is around here. Schools are the best because they push the white crap every day. Everything collects on the edge and at this time of year I'm getting a ton of surface finds. Went out after work for an hour and found 32 coins and a cheap ring. And someone's keys. And too much junk that people shouldn't be tossing on the ground.

Thanks.

Very Nice!!!! Congrats!!!!

Congrats on the gold! I've found some neat things just loosely swinging the detector on the way back to the car, too. That always makes the hunt more fun. :mder:
