I dug up an old hand forged railroad spike maul and gave it a 24 hour electrolysis bath and am pleased with the results

Pretty cool piece, worthy of a hickory handle. Get you a long one at hardware store, scrape, sand, to proper shape, feel, and fit. Age the handle in a vinegar and steel wool 24- 72 hours before attaching to the maul. I've done a couple handles to Civil War tools just for display, you'll appreciate the tool a little more. Nice find !
