Working toward the best unmasking first. I took it out in my own front yard, which is saturated with iron by the way. I believe the house, built in 1910, was once covered with asphalt shingle siding. You can pick any spot and count 3-5 nails. If you rub a magnet anywhere it gets covered with iron fillings. I have hunted this yard with every detector I have owned of course. Some 40 years ago I found a 1909 Indian & a 1909 Wheat stuck together out front long before I owned the house. I found an 1855 large cent just across the street. I know there are old coins left in my own yard.

A 30 minute hunt in my own front yard and I pulled 6 pennies, a dime, and I believe a lipstick cap. None were very deep.I feel I am getting good unmasking. I was surprised to find anything at all.

You did a great job with the unmasking given the fact you have hunted that area numerous times. Just goes to show, no place is ever hunted out. Well done.
