Many days of hard detecting I get skunked but this day I just couldn’t lose. I did 2 1860s permissions, first was all relics, no old coins, the second, nothing but old coins and no relics. Have one picture of the first hunt, few wheats and some nice relics which I have to the homeowner. The second hunt revealed a lot of firsts for me. Most silvers - 6. Most silvers in one hole-3. Multiple seated coins in one hunt-2, my first CC mint. The second hunt- first signal was a jumble of 60s-80s repeatable around the hole, kinda of a hot mess, 7 inches down I flipped out a few silver coins and cents, rechecked the hole…still more, after some work revealed another dime, nickel and wheat. That hole gave up, 1901, 1910 dimes, 1912 Canadian quarter, 1900 V nickel and 3 wheats. Twenty minutes later, I got an 87-88 shallow signal off the old front door area, totally expected a clad quarter, so shallow used a trowel, flicked out some old pottery and out popped a seated quarter- 1877 CC. I was floored, my first seated quarter and why not, let’s make it a Carson City and only 3 inches down. Patched up the hole stood up, swung to the right and bang, another shallow 89-91 signal a couple feet away, could it be…? Again with the trowel, out popped another 1877 seated quarter, sure why not, Im on a roll baby! Finished off with another barber dime 20 minutes later. Now, have you ever had one of those days where you feel you can’t lose, I was feeling it, and figured I’d parlay my fabulous luck so snagged a few lotto tickets on the way home as well, both winnners of course- Net $80 bucks back in the pocket. My best silver day ever! Enjoy.
