Yes I did. Thought I had more change than that. None of my banks have a no fee counting machine.

I dropped the banks more than 20 years ago. Been doing my banking at a credit union ever since.

Though I don't do my banking there, three's a Rhode island based bank in my hometown....Centerville bank....that has a no fee coin machine but you have to be a member. If you're not a member there's a fee.

They keep raising that Coinstar fee a little much for me and being I’m becoming more of a tightwad every day
I’ve put my old Tumbler back into action.

It’s kind of fun seeing those old crusties looking good again.

Snagged another silver Rosy this morning from the same Coinstar; 1954D. That makes 2 silver dimes in one week

Why metal detect in this heat?... I'll simply stand next to the Coinstar in the air conditioned grocery store!

I hit them every chance I get. So far this year, I've got a grand total of $11.15 in silver, but no Merc. That's from 6 machines

Last year I dug 15 silver coins out of Coinstar machines and NONE from detecting. This year, so far, I have six silver coins from Coinstar and once again NONE from detecting.

I don’t really find a great amount of coins anymore, so it really wouldn’t be worth the hassle.
Besides, I’m having fun using the tumbler.
