From the land of the Bluenose.....was quite excited as I arrived at work to find that they were looking for 26 fellows to work for a year in Afganastan. Man the money was good, work schedule of 3 months on and one off with pay and flown to wherever you wish sounded good. Mister Man I was thinking I could hook up with the engineers there in my off time and play the landmine with my Garrett. Then I mentioned it to Marie and the idea disappeared quicker then a macheral in a pod of tuna.

The pain in my back prevented me from going a digging for a few days and had not heard back from a few buds that I had called so today I did the due which was aided by a new med that puts this bouy in orbit. Before leaving I left a message for my daughter Kayla who turned 19 today.

This was taken earlier in the year at her grad.

Hit a local schoolyard but had to leave for another as three fellows were playing with their pitbulls on the field and didn't feel up to being a teething toy for them. The other school was a penny parade but here too I was not alone as this little scavanger had bit off more than he could chew.

Thirty or so pennies and I headed back to the other school dodging what others and their dogs had left behind.

Shortly thereafter another group arrived to let their mutts have a runabount so I did the same and adjourned to a local park to finish off my dig.

Back started hurting even though I was taking it slow so I called it a day after finding a kid's ring, musket ball, crystal earing and 107 coins @ $4.56

Game 7 between the Soxs and Indians is due on the tube shortly and I on the launch pad for another med. Hope I can last the 2 weeks of this med without crashing to earth or the back spasms continuing as hockey season is just around the corner!

I know how agravating that back pain is. I have a steel rod implanted in my back, along with a wired-together knee, and Rheumatoid Arthritis to boot. But I'm still working and digging(when I can). Good Luck...

Congratulations on your daughter's graduation! Has she chosen a university yet? I remember my graduation from the University of Texas 2 years ago. Tell her to enjoy the next 4 years. They fly by!
