These are from a spot I scouted a few weeks ago & I got back to it today. It's all cavalry. John Bufords cavalry occupied this spot. The bat wing is my first. HH

Its a carbine bore brush.What is the piece that looks like twisted wire?
Good guess. Its a bore brush.Could be what they called a gunworm or artillery worm.

Worms were used by artillerists to remove fragments of the spent powder bag from the barrel after firing.
