Cannon Ball???

I was out creek detecting yesterday and found this partially sticking out of the mud. Iron signal on the AT Pro.
Heavily crusted but its definitely man-made and nearly round except for the ??fuse?? end??

The adjoing land had and late 1800's home site where I found a Hutch bottle before.

Any ID help would be really appreciated...fingers crossed.

I really don't think that is a cannon ball.
