Found this calvary spur yesterday evening. The place I found this at, is starting to have the makings of a calvary camp. Another spur has been found, but the ends are square and not round like this one. I know it may be hard to tell, but is it Union, or Confederate? Thoughts?

I think your spur would be called a civilian spur. However, that doesn't preclude it from being used by a civil war soldier. Many brought their own spurs with them. On a union camp we found, there was two Mexican spurs found. Generally that spur wouldn't be considered sturdy enough for campaigning.
