Found this today. Can anyone identify and date the period of usage?

Looks military and with the eagle holding an anchor my guess is Navy.

The back is likely rusted out. One of the most copied buttons I know of. Fashion/blazer type button

The back is intact. The shank is missing. It does not look like the shank was soldered, more likely a three piece button. Front, back with hole and shank that was in the hole. When the sun comes up, I will take a photo of the back.
