Brooch, Buckle, Part of a ribbon, horse tack???

Has anyone ever seen one of these? I dug in in my yard last eveing.

What is a "dash buckle". I am newer to metal dectecting and haven't heard that term yet.

Sorry, phone auto corrected me. Meant Sash. I've found a few in a colonial site. Just larger belt across the chest or on a bag. Yours looks later 1800s if I had to guess. More machine stamped parts stuck together

Thank you. Only been detecting for 2 years or so. Just starting to learn the terminology for relics. I mostly find modern coins.
